Why Live Captioning

Let’s cut to the chase.

“Above 466 million people worldwide are affected by various degrees of hearing losses. Of them, about 46 million (2014) are Americans, and is expected to rise to 82 million in 2040.”

And so, to provide an equal/equivalent playing field for all of them, captioning was introduced and later mandated to a certain degree.
