Technology has made it easier for the globalization of industry and organizations to operate in an international environment.
CaptioningStar assisted a renowned organization the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) host an international career development event. NACE offers information on employment opportunities to the college educated, forecasting hiring trends in the job market and identifying best practices and benchmarks for recruiting and hiring.
The organization conducts events primarily for boosting professional and career readiness, according to the Director of NACE. He reached out to us to see if we could provide captioning services for an international event named “Scaling Up Engagement: An Update on the Rutgers Career Cluster Model” at the Rutgers University.
Hosting an Event Organized by Rutgers University:
The organization was hosting an event organized by Rutgers University, which was to be streamed across Zoom to its entire remote staff. They wanted to reach out to maximum audiences that would benefit from this event.
Being an informational video, the director explained they pay special attention on adding captions to their videos for the benefit of hearing impaired and non-native English speaking audiences.
Prior Captioning Experience on Zoom Platforms:
NACE was looking out for a captioning company that had prior experience working on cloud-based platforms such as Zoom, which could provide them accurate captioning services at budgeted pricing since they were a non-profit organization.
CaptioningStar set up a demo for the organization, and after a satisfactory review, we were given a ‘go ahead’. On the day the live event was scheduled, the captioning personal was all set to get started. As soon as the event began, captions were simultaneously added to the live videos that were being accessed by remote audiences across the globe.
It was a smooth sail, and an appreciative NACE director had words of praises for CaptioningStar,
“I could understand the pain the live captioner would have underwent since he was in remote but I really appreciate his effort to bring in error-less captions in fractions of a second. I would also like to work with CaptioningStar for my future projects”.
